1. Information We Collect

When you use AI Scam Checker India to generate reports or browse our platform, we may collect the following information:

  • Identifiers submitted for scanning: URLs, Phone Numbers, UPI IDs, and Telegram Usernames.
  • Contact Information: Email addresses and Phone numbers (when explicitly provided for accounts or support).
  • Technical Data: IP Addresses, Browser Type, and Device Information for security and analytics.

2. How Data is Stored

Your data is stored securely in modern database infrastructure. We adhere to the principle of data minimization—only storing data necessary to provide our scanning and reporting services. Scan histories may be stored to improve our AI models, but sensitive personal identifiers are anonymized where possible.

3. MongoDB & Encrypted Storage

Our primary database architecture utilizes MongoDB. We enforce strict access controls and utilize encrypted storage at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3). This ensures that any stored scan logs, user profiles, or transactional metadata are protected against unauthorized access.

4. Razorpay Payment Processing

For premium reports, we use Razorpay as our secure payment gateway.

Important: AI Scam Checker India does not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, net banking passwords, or UPI PINs on our servers. All transactions are securely processed directly by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

5. Third-Party APIs

To provide accurate scam detection, we may transmit queried data (like URLs or IP addresses) to third-party threat intelligence APIs (e.g., VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, URLScan). We ensure these partners also maintain strict data security standards. We do not sell your personal data to these third parties.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use Cookies to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and maintain session security. Additionally, we use analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to understand website traffic patterns. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data Security

We implement robust cybersecurity measures to prevent data breaches, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), rate limiting, and routine security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. User Rights & Account Deletion

In alignment with the India Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Account Deletion: Request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.
